- Jayme is a new attendee! She found SacL5 as the closest chapter to her location. She’s a member of the NSS and enjoys a NASA checking account. She’s toured many space related locations and enjoys sci fi TV and Movies. And she like to garden and cook. Welcome! Jayme

- About $9000 in the account and there’s also the $4500 funds paid to JP Aerospace for the Student Stem Balloon Flight Prize.

- Elections in progress for CA ISDC Board Members
- Our recommendations for our Region 2 are: Jeff Liss, Larry Ahern and Dave Stuart
- Discussions on how to get more chapters to attend meetings.
- There was some discussion on the proper place for the Recent NSS Resources for Chapters Page.
- Some felt that it should be on the NSS main site and vetted. Paste experience, though, has shown that devising a consistent upload process needed a less talk and a little more action.
- NOTE: NSS Chapters Committee(CC) vs NSS Chapters Assembly(CA)
- The NSS Chapters Committee is the formal NSS governing body for NSS Chapters. The CC establishes rules regarding recognition of a group as a NSS Chapter and how NSS receives and acts on input from NSS Chapters. A loose analogy is that NSS Chapters are “franchised” by NSS and must conform to standards and practices set by the CA.
- The NSS Chapters Assembly is a association of interested representatives from different NSS Chapters. The CA proposes changes and suggests novelty and improvements to the CC and the NSS. They also vet any CA rule changes that might impede Chapters recruitment, visibility, activities and access to key NSS contacts.

- There’s a possibility of getting grants to expand the program. Paul is filling out grant applications.
- Next prize might be for higher education schools.
- We might reach out to other chapters to find interested High Schools.
