NOTE: Normally, we try to celebrate when the Apollo lander is actually on the
lunar surface, but last minute circumstances required us to move the date a
week later to August 7th at 7 AM PDT (the day that Apollo 15 landed back on
Earth). If youʼve already registered for the previously announced date, youʼll
receive a confirmation email with the new date. The link will stay the same as
previously distributed. (If you are also interested in an informal “breakfast”
together on July 31st to celebrate the actual lunar landing, please contact
Joseph Bland at [email protected].)
Please mark your calendars! On Saturday morning, August 7, NSS Chaptersʼ
Assembly and NSS Chapter Sacramento L5 Society will host the fifth in their

For the Apollo 15 event, we are tremendously excited to announce that Apollo
Mission Control Flight Director Gerald D. Griffin has agreed to return as
He will be joined by author and NSS Director of Communications and Branding
