Project Purpose
Mission – Why the project is important
- There are many students who wish to learn more about building things in the world and they need many varieties and examples of the actual engineering workflow and processes.
Vision – What we want the project to accomplish
- To provide complete easy to understand and complete information for students to design, acquire and assemble components and software to build a working compact video/parametric recording device.
Goals – What the project will produce
- A series of videos that document parts acquisition, prototyping, assembly, shakedown and testing of a working device that contains video and measurement recording components.
- On line ready CAD plans for a device enclosure.
- Suggestions for online CAD build services.
- Description and demonstration of Arduino controllers for device components.
- Build of a flight ready balloon device.
Device Structure
- 1 to 3 minicube volume
- Battery powered
- Insulated / Battery Warmed
Data Acquisition
- Micro Flash Card Data Recording
- GPS Measurements
