Sacramento L5 Society Website Activity — Previous 30 Days
For the previous 30 days ending September 12, 2026, the Sacramento L5 Society website continued its recent growth in both traffic and current chapter content.
30-Day Website Activity
The newest traffic report records 1,121 visits during the last 30 days, up 238 from the previous report’s 883. That is an increase of approximately 27% in rolling 30-day traffic.
The rolling 12-month total increased from 11,621 to 12,555 visits, a gain of 934. Total visits since tracking began on October 10, 2019 reached 33,887, an increase of 1,368 visits since the August report.
The corresponding visitor count for the last 30 days was 1,032 individual visitors, compared with 1,121 visits, indicating that most traffic represents separate visitors rather than repeated page loading.
Traffic remained generally strong throughout the month, with several periods in the range of roughly 60–80 visits per day and a particularly large spike on September 4, reaching approximately 130 visitors in a single day. The one-year graph also shows that recent baseline traffic remains substantially above the levels seen during much of the previous year.
Website and Chapter Activity
Several significant additions and updates occurred during the reporting period:
- August 9 — NSS Chapter Activity Report:
The chapter’s survey of National Space Society local chapter websites was updated again with the latest visible chapter activity. - August 10 — SpaceTalks:
The SpaceTalks page was updated to promote the September 12 Sacramento L5 meeting and the upcoming presentation by Dr. Jen Blank, continuing the chapter’s effort to build a recurring speaker program and archive of presentations. - August SpaceTalk — “L² (Lunar Legacy)” by Gerald Blackburn explored humanity’s relationship with the Moon across ancient, historical, Apollo-era and modern perspectives. The program continued the chapter’s use of SpaceTalks as both a local meeting feature and material that can be shared more broadly.
- Work continued on documenting the August 8 Sacramento L5 meeting, including the meeting transcript, minutes, attendee material and supporting graphics for publication.
- Development continued on the chapter’s Balloon Device / modular Arduino instrument project, along with associated documentation intended to make the project understandable and reproducible.
- Sacramento L5 continued outreach to other NSS chapters through the NSS Chapter Activity Report and the developing SpaceTalks network.
Continuing Growth
The increase from 883 to 1,121 monthly visits is particularly notable because it represents growth in the site’s normal traffic level rather than dependence on a single isolated event.
The website continues to operate as more than a chapter announcement page. It is becoming a running record of meetings, SpaceTalks, engineering projects, NSS chapter activity, educational outreach and ongoing technical work.
The combination of a 27% rise in 30-day traffic, more than 1,300 additional visits since the previous report, and continued publication of current material suggests that the Sacramento L5 Society website is increasingly functioning as a resource for people beyond the chapter’s regular meeting attendees.
